What is Bowling Solitaire?

Bowling Solitaire is a card-placement solitaire that scores like bowling. Place cards in ascending order to knock down pins, choose your spots, and decide when to take a miss. Every day ships a single deck shared by all players—perfect for daily ladders and friendly rivalries.

Built for BBS

Runs as a door on popular BBS packages. Multi-node safe with ANSI output designed to look great in terminals.

Daily Competition

Everyone sees the same deck each day. High scores track Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and All-Time results.

Simple to Host

Dropfile support (DOOR32.SYS, DOOR.SYS, DORINFO*.DEF). Lightweight binaries for multiple platforms.

How to play

  1. Deal today’s shared deck and place cards into a 10‑pin layout in strictly ascending rank.
  2. Use up to two misses per frame to handle duplicates or tough draws.
  3. Score like bowling: strikes, spares, and opens decide your total.

Why “Tournament”?

It’s solitaire built for leaderboards. Lightweight bulletins and consistent decks make it easy to run daily challenges on your board. The project is designed so future solitaire variants can slot in without changing your setup.
