Bring the whole BBS scene into the competition. A league server deals identical daily boards and rules to every connected BBS, collects their scores, and turns a local daily puzzle into a full-blown cross-board rivalry.
Every participating BBS receives the same pieces and starting well for each league day. Skill decides the winner.
Compare players across BBSes on shared scoreboards. League listings show both the player handle and the BBS they represent.
Dedicated monthly BBS rankings add each board's best score per day. Even a small BBS can win big; size is no advantage.
The door automatically exchanges scores. If the server is temporarily down, play continues and queued scores sync later.
